This collection honors Adia Brown, my beloved daughter and gifted painter who created the Harriet Tubman portrait and the cover art for The Harriet Tubman Way. These pieces—painted in 2020–2021—are part of the beautiful body of oil paintings she left us, full of color, feeling, and quiet strength.

Adia transitioned in February 2023 after a courageous journey with cancer. Her art keeps her spirit present: a steady glow of love, resilience, and faith.
